Deco X50 VERY weak signal
I got a 2 pack Deco X50 to work as access point to expand my wifi coverage. My House consists of 2 floors. In the 2nd floor, I plugged one unit with the modem and it works good with the full speed reaching 500Mbps, the another unit on the 1st floor which is located directly under the first unit gets VERY weak signal and speed of 1Mbps, which is not supposed to be at all. I tried to move the unit to only a few meters beside the main unit in the same room, and I got medium signal strength, which easily suppose to get strong signal. any solutions to this problem?

Hi, welcome to the community.
How about the wireless signal source strength on the Deco APP?
- Usually, we need to make sure there are at least two bars and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz are used for WiFi Backhaul.
(it is not suggested to put the satellite Deco X50 exactly under the main Deco X50 since the vertical direction has the weakest strength.)
Can you also test the Ethernet speed from the satellite Deco X20?
Wait for your reply and best regards.

Thank you for replying
-The wireless signal of the satellite Deco with the main Deco shows as weak with only one bar all the time. However, I tried to move the units to be near to the windows, still weak signal, the speed has improved but still not as expected.
-Yes both 5GHz and 2.4GHz are used.
-I cannot test the Ethernet speed from the satellite Deco X50 as my laptop does not has Ethernet ports, but I imagine it will be not as expected also.
Best Regards.

run the cable between floors, you can place the points closer to the windows to make it easier to lay the cable inside the house
this is the only correct and stable solution

Thank you for your suggestion
I bought a mesh system to avoid running cables between floors :)
Based on the specification and reviews, I thought Deco X50 will be a good option for handling the network in the 2 floors, but I got a disappointed result, unfortunately.

Unfortunately, a similar result will happen with other similar devices.
mesh works more or less normally when there are no visible obstacles between the points and the number of points is small (2-3 maximum)
when there are obstacles and a large number of points, they need to be connected to each other with a cable
