Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.1.9 build 20240426 Rel.51213

This issue keeps occurring. Our home router is a NETGEAR Nighthawk X4S(two wifi line). When I successfully connect the RE605X to one of the lines, the original router line becomes unusable(can not joined my original router wifi).

HI  @JasonLLL,

If you cannot configure the TP-Link range extender successfully, please refer to the situations below to troubleshoot.
Case 1: The extender's default Wi-Fi network (TP-Link_Extender_XXXX) doesn't appear.
    a. Press the RESET button (hole) with a pin for 1 second (all lights on the extender would flash) to return the extender to factory default.
    b. Put your device next to the extender.

Case 2: The 2.4GHz/5GHz light on the extender is still off after setup. No main network connection.
    a. 2.4G/5G light not up means the extender is not connected to the router. Connect your phone to the host router's Wi-Fi to verify it's working.
    b. Forget the router's Wi-Fi on the phone and try reconnecting to ensure the Wi-Fi password is correct.
    c. Change the router's 2.4G Wi-Fi channel to 1/6/11 and 5G to 36/40/44/48. You may refer to this link or contact router support to change: Changing Channel and Channel Width
    d. Disable security settings like Mac filtering or Access Control on the host router. Please contact the router support for guidance.

@Joseph-TP Hello Joseph, the issue I'm facing is that my TP-Link extender is working successfully without any problems, but my original router's network has become unusable. In other words, the extender's network is running, but the original router's network cannot be connected. This happened because I connected the TP-Link extender using my router's network.

Hi  @JasonLLL,

You mean when RE605X joins the network, the main router will lose the network even though the network of RE605X is still running, right?

The problem is indeed strange. Please help us collect the following information:
1. When the problem occurs, the client connects to the router's IP, gateway, DNS and other information;
2. When connected to the router, ping the router's IP and 8.8.8.8.
3. In addition, the range extender is connected to the router via Wi-Fi, right?

Please email to local support, attaching Forum ID 759920 and details, and we will have a dedicated person to assist in analysis and follow-up.
