wondering if its possible to make it so if i press the light switch button it will also turn on a lamp that i have plugged into a hs105. Have a older house with not many lights and would am currently turning it into a smart home. So far have one hs220 installed and a few hs200 sitting in boxes that i need to run a neutral wire to.

Hello, as you know, the HS220 connects to the electrical wires to control the lamp or other devices, for HS105, we need plug the device into the socket to control it; It is not suggested to connect them together, instead, use one smart plug/switch to control single unit will be better. Hope you understand.

I think he means using automation so that turning the light switch on or off triggers the same on the HS105. I'm not sure there are rules in kasa like that, but perhaps IFTTT will work?

That is correct, was hoping the light switch would tell the plug to power on and off so the lamp will turn on the same time as the ceiling light

TP-Link's smart router, SR20, will give you the automation tools to do that. Alternatively you can group devices together in smart speakers. If you have Alexa or Google Home and you wanted to speak instructions like 'alexa lights on' it could turn on the switch and the plug. Ryan

I have it working as a zone with the voice commands, was primarily looking for it to work with the switch. So the sr20 can make my light switch tell the the lamp plug to turn off with the ceiling light?

The groud or scene function may satisfy your needs: https://www.tp-link.com/en/faq-2299.html and https://www.tp-link.com/en/faq-1234.html

Besides, you can create widget to control the kasa scene on your devices: https://www.tp-link.com/en/faq-2293.html &  https://www.tp-link.com/en/faq-2294.html

If you want to do it from the switch and IFTTT won't work (or is too slow) my app can do that sort of thing if you run it as an automation server:  https://sites.google.com/site/mppsuite/wemomanager/features with automation: https://sites.google.com/site/mppsuite/wemomanager/wemorules.

(sorry if this is double, the system decided i needed to log on before responding and didn't tell me if it'd sent my previous)
