HS300 Random power cycle
Have two HS300 running for about a week. Two PC's on one and two PC's on another. Two PC's that are plugged into 1 of the TP-links have rebooted due to brief power loss twice since I started using them. No logging, can't figure out why these outlets on the strip are losing power breifly at random, causing windows PC to restart.. Any help/guidance is appreciated.

For Smart Bulbs/ Smart Plugs power cycle problem, we have released some beta firmwares that fixed the problem, please check below thread for details.
[Solution] Kasa devices reboot randomly
If your model does not have a beta firmware yet, please try suggestions here:
1. Check and ensure both the Kasa device's firmware and the Kasa app version are up-to-date. If not, update first.
2. Factory reset the Kasa device by pressing the Reset button for 10 secs, keep it in the factory default state and observe whether it will reboot or not.
3. Create a Guest WIFI on your main router and only leave the problematic connected to Guest Wifi and see if the issue is gone (this is for troubleshooting purpose)
Or put tp-link smart device on a different VLAN/ isolated network for test purpose.
4. If your network is a Mesh network, please try to turn off the fast roaming or beam forming function on your mesh router.
If same issue persist, please send us the information below and we will have a spacilist to follow up your case.
1) The above troubleshooting you have tried and the results
2) The network topology of your home: like modem—router—AP. More detailed network topology helps more, like the model of network devices and the network segment, like 192.168.1.0.
3) The specific model of router: like TP-Link Archer A7
4) The frequency of auto-reboot :
5) Are there other Kasa devices that can work normally?

This is also happening for me and your proposed solution is absurd.
I have over 20 smart outlets either TS110 and 2 ts300 I am not going through and changing the network on all of them when it doesn't appear to matter what router or one of their devices ar

Just happened to me last night on a device that has been RMA'd already. I agree that putting it on a seperate network isn't a solution, but rather a bandaid.

We appreciate your feedback, actually this isn't the final solution yet. If it is convenient for you, it is recommended to create a Guest Wi-Fi and connect 1-2 Kasa devices which got the issue to that Guest Wi-Fi to exclude the issue. (after that, please do not connect phone or other devices to Kasa device first and see if issue is gone or not )
The temporary suggestion is provided to summon feedback from more customers who got the similar issue on kasa devices, this will help to expedite the final resolution, thank you for your understanding!

I did a RMA on my unit and the replacement has the same issues. I stopped using it for mission critical items.

Not sure if it's the first time but just experienced a random power cycle of all if the outlets on my Hs300(HW: 1.0 FW: 1.0.19 updating to 1.0.20 now wasn't alerted to a FW update). Its in a bedroom connected to 2 lamps with lifx bulbs a lifx strip a Google home hub and a subwoofer that's powered off most of the time. Monthly consumption is less that 5kWh and nothing was on but the lights (11W at full power), the light strip(2.7W) and the Google home so I doubt it was an overload
I have a unify system to monitor connectivity, dosn't appear to be an issue there. Also using home assistant to monitor connectivity, at the time of the incident every thing connected to it went dark but the hs300 stayed on. Will be setting up an automation to monitor this type of failure
Seems like a firmware crash. With no way to see logs it's hard to help kasa diagnosis a problem beyond a factory reset. I bought this as a way to monitor power usage, turn on/off dumb devices (like the sub) and ironically to reset my smart bulbs when they become disconnected from wifi. Honestly the hs300's individual socket relays don't get that much use.
network isolation isn't a "solution" for what is supposed to be a remote controlled power monitoring device. Also don't these devices work in "local only" when an internet connection is lost?
At least tell us what the reported lights mean

Just so everyone is aware, the RMA doesn't fix it. I've gone through the RMA process.
Exactly the same issue, so don't waste your time and money sending it back. Mine had rebooted 3 times just today.
Putting it on an isolated network completely defeats the point of purchasing it, so I'm just going to bin it.

this seems to have started happening to me when I upgraded my access points to openwrt. At the same time I enabled 802.11r fast transitions. I had only noticed it happening on my server, because it's quite noticeable when it dies (it's my router) and worse, sometimes the bios hangs. This is incredibly stupid, and no I cannot disable 802.11r. I enabled it because I'll be using Wi-Fi to stream rtk corrections to an rtkdgps unit on a smart lawnmower. It needs constant Wi-Fi access on all sides of the house. So if to link cannot support it, well, to link should go out of business then. At the very least, if you crash, DO NOT TURN OFF ALL OUTLETS! I mean wtf?! Who does that? A power off, I get. If you're not using a microcontroller that allows you to specify the state of pins on reboot, you need to change, and these things are junk, and will be reviewed as such.
im only using them because they tie into sense and show me energy usage for things it has trouble detecting.

Sorry for the late repose, thank you for your valuable feedback, you are right the ' isolated network' is just a way for troubleshooting purpose not the final solution.So far we doubt some unexpected packets were sent to Kasa device probably from third party softwares or certain devices which cause this issue.
