Model: Archer VR600
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 0.4.0 0.9.1 v0074.0 Build 200701 Beta.71362n

I've found another bug in the latest firmware for the VR600.

I tried to set up Service Filtering to block DNS traffic from certain clients.

I fill in as follows:

When I click Save I get an error message:

However, it has actually saved with IP address undefined.

When I try to delete the item I get another error message:

Frustrating.

This is with firmware 0.4.0 0.9.1 v0074.0 Build 200701 Beta.71362n which isn't labelled as a Beta on the download site so you only find out after installing it.

@dunxd

Good day.

Sorry for the delay.

Even though there would be an error message pop out, the service filtering rule actually saved but for unknown IP addresses?

When you tried to delete it, have you tried to turn off the service filtering and try to delete it again?

Did the issue start after you updated the latest beta firmware

And have you tried to reset the modem and configure the service filtering again to see what happened?

Thank you very much!

@Sunshine That is correct, even after getting the error message the rule saved with undefined IP addresses (at least that is what the web interface shows).

I am unable to modify or delete the rule. This is the case with Service Filtering switched on or off.

I tried to set up the rule after upgrading to the latest firmware, which I didn't realise was beta until after installing it. I don't know if this issue existed with previous firmware.

I have not tried resetting the modem yet as this will be quite disruptive, as I don't have a backup of all settings prior to making this change. I am leaving Service Filtering disabled for now. Hoping for some production grade firmware, clearly labelled on the support site, soon.

+1

Hoping for production grade firmware for the VR series modem/routers too, rather than "Beta"
