Hi

I bought two Alexa and two Smart Bulbs (Kasa Smart Bulb by TP-Link, WiFi Smart Switch, B22). The problem is one room (Room 1) with Alexa and bulb works (both with the voice commands and thru app). The other room (Room 2) works only with the app and not thru the voice command. When I use the voice command in Room2, it switches off the light in Room!! (Even though the Room1 Alexa is not active). Is that something anyone has experienced ? Any help is much appreciated please.

Hi, sorry for the delay.

Could you please help me check the following information:

1. Did the two Kasa bulbs bind to the same Kasa account?

2. Did the two Alexa link with the same Kasa account?

3. Have you given the two bulbs different device names?

4. When you voice command in Room2, it switches off the light in Room 1, right?

Really sorry that I missed the notification in my email. Reply to your queries as below:

1. Did the two Kasa bulbs bind to the same Kasa account?

Nope. Each have it's own Kasa account

 

2. Did the two Alexa link with the same Kasa account?

Nope. Each have it's own Alexa account

 

3. Have you given the two bulbs different device names?

Yes. Each bulbs have it's own name

 

4. When you voice command in Room2, it switches off the light in Room 1, right?

Exactly.

 

Only thing that's common I think is that they all are in the same WiFi. In the 2nd room the light can be controlled thru the App though. Only voice thru Alexa is not working.
