Model: Tapo C200
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

A while back i asked if there is any software, or any way to view the output from a TP link camera remotely on a windows based PC  ( either on the same network or remotely over the internet)  , which would enable pan/tilt/zoom controls.

 I was pointed to some TP link software called Ispy, however TP link want an additional €350 for this which is extortionate.

 I emailed TP link support and they said that they would get back to me with a solution, this was received on the 3rd of August, some 4 months back

"Thank you for contacting the TP-Link Support Team. Your case has been recorded in our email system, and our engineer will contact you within one working day. "

@Richard_T123

Good day,

Thank you very much for your time and patience.

Both ISpy and VLC player are not TP-Link software.

Since Tapo C200 supported RTSP stream, so you could use the third party software to live view the camera on the computer.

From TP-Link, only Tapo APP Is recommended and free for use.

For more details, please have a look at this link:

thanks a lot for your understanding and support.

And when TPLink allow the PTZ function to work with other software we might be able to use your cameras for more serious security work (hint: and you will sell more of them !).

@Reggy

Hi,

Thank you very much for your continuous concern about this case.

We already have the plan to add PTZ over ONVIF on the Tapo C200.

Please wait for the updated news on the official website.

Thanks a lot.
