C200 only allows 5 mins of streaming before prompting!
Hi my c200 randomly pops up the window after 5 minutes of monitoring and asks if I would like to continue the stream. How do I resolve this issue? It is my baby monitor and I need to be monitoring it continuously. I am watching the stream through the TAPO app, both my devices are on the same WIFI network, there are no firewall settings enabled that blocks devices within this network and lastly both my devices have the most updated software and/or firmware.

When watch camera remotely (the mobile phone is not under home network but cellular or outside network) , it uses Cloud to Cloud service Tapo APP will ask if you wish to 'Continue' after certain time as explained in our FAQ here:

We appreciate your feedback on the continuous viewing, but this would be the current design as far I could tell.

I posted on another thread that this timeout makes these cameras 100% unsuitable for security or baby monitoring.
Why must the user disconnect mobile data to guarantee using the local WiFi? I found that using the remote access and then coming back to my WiFi network still gives the timeout unless you force the app to stop and then restart it.
Please, please make this timeout a user selectable option to avoid all these issues.
I am using tplink deco so this makes it even worse as all the devices are from the same manufacturer!

I think any camera with P2P should work remotely without this stupid timeout. Reolink have some models?
Unless TP-Link fix this soon I will be uninstalling all my Tapo cameras and replacing them with something else.
I cannot understand how these cameras got to market as the Tapo lightbulbs I find work really well and are great value.
I know you should not expect too much with low cost cameras and as such I was prepared to forego email and ftp features, but timeouts remotely? That is a cost cut too far.

+1 Couldn't believe my eyes when it popped up. All on WLAN. Who thought it would be a needed feature to stop the stream??? Looking for other providers now.

Stop adding useless functionality, we will care about data by ourselves, just make the app functional and remove that restriction, it helps no one, or make it optional so whoever finds it useful can grab it from settings

Hi,
I have the same problem. iOS15.0.1
trying to to use periodically to watch the baby for shorter time frames.
This pop-up keeps getting.
Both devices are on Local LAN.
Local IP Addresses.
Also have set the "local network" as suggested.
As is, this is not that valuable, no matter the good quality.

@Solla-topee the problem still continues to appear... My wifi is configured with mesh omada.... I try to turn off my web router.... Nothing the problem still continues
