Tapo C200 window reflection
I recently bought a Tapo C200 camera to sit in the living room on the bay window sill looking out the at the front garden and front door. I have it perfectly positioned. The problem is at night when night vision mode is on, the camera only focuses on it's reflection a few centimetres away. I have already turned the LED off. I've turned night vision mode off so at night the camera uses day vision, this allows the camera to see past the reflection, but using day vision at night time makes the video very grainy. I'm unimpressed with this, it has a night vision mode that doesn't work at night (through a window). Is this a design fault or am I missing something? Is there a way of getting this to work? The camera also picks up it's reflection slightly on the window during the day, but it's not too bad. Would it help if the camera came with a polarising filter attached?
