Tapo C310 motion detection sensitivity and email notifications
Tapo C310 motion detection sensitivity and email notifications
Hello,
I bought Tapo C310 three weeks ago but i installed it in my garden yesterday and i am shocked... the motion detects every insect flyby or smallest dust.
Before buying the camera i read a review where someone wrote that this camera supports email notifications. And it DOES NOT? REALLY? In 2021?
Now i am super angry because i bought it three weeks ago so i can not return it. So now i have a totally useless camera that i bought for about 60$ because i thought that tp-link is a high quality brand. No smart image analysis in detection process, no email notifications. Gosh... so disappointed. I will highly disrecommend this hardware to anyone i know...

Having the same problem with my new c310 camera.
Insects, Rain and shadows trigger the Alarms all the time!
All settings are set to low sense but still the same problem.
Firmware update?

@Solla-topee same here. Camera triggers motion with rain, flies, spiders, cats and even the light from cars that are the other side of the building.
For the second time I've woken up to over 20 notifications, all fails triggers.
Sensitivity us set at low, I only have about 50% set as a detection zone.
I bet my neighbours are annoyed with the alarm siren going off all night.
It is a shame as I had plans to purchase further cameras for my other two buildings.

Same for me!
Get detection from rain, birds and shadows from tree. I have used line and area but still get the false detection

@Timtom They came back to me today with a solution for this. Subscribe to their annual subscription package for $59 a year and then your camera will do what every other camera on the market does for free..... Hiwnthey can advertise this as an outdoor camera when fresh air sets it off every 30 seconds but if you pay us an annual fee your camera will do what's it's supposed to.... defies logic

Same problem as everyone else, just bought s c320ws and a c210 and with everthing on low still get notifications of shades and insects. I turn mouvement off and just work with the AI detection and still is triggered by cats and dogs.
Really upset with this, and already regret the buy.
The problem is out there now for months and tp link as still not fixed the problem.
This shoud be on the camera description.
Hundreds of notifications a day just for nothing.
Hope you guys can fixed this.
