Model: Tapo C200
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Got camera set up ok, all working except for reading of sd card. New micro sd  card, Integral 64gb, formatted successfully via Tapo app, FAT32. Tested over five days, motion detection only, so should be 15 to 20 motions detected, maybe few more, set on Loop mode. Alerts ok to phone, playback on phone ok. When tried to read sd card in card reader on my main Packard Bell computer, could only actually view 1st. movement on 1st. day ( tp00000), rest of card filled up with same file and date, numbered tp00001 to tp00231, could not open any of them. No space left on card. At top was a snapshot folder, which when opened contained 5 index files plus 5 overview files, dated one for each day of test period. Could not open any. Any ideas please?

@Solla-topee hi, thanks your reply. I have discovered today that all 15 to 20 motion vids over my five day test period  from 5th to 9th, are in tp00000.  No sound but i guess that could be old computer using windows media player? I wrongly assumed ?? that each day would have a separate file as per the snapshot folder (the contents of which I can't open). Tested sd card with h2testw, seemed ok. Have ordered new card 32gb sdhc to test again. Thanks for the info, being of a certain age I'm unfortunately  not too high tech. Cheers.

@Mariner

Motion detected recordings and local continuous recordings are saved in the SD card and will show up on the timeline in Playback.   Can you view motion detection clips detected in the Playback timeline?

The files named as xxxxxxxx_000000_tp00001.mp4, xxxxxxxx_000000_tp00002.mp4, are empty  files reserved for the subsequent file to write. Here is a related FAQ:

How can I view the video recordings of camera from the SD card on a computer?
https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2905/

If video clips are available on the Playback section but not in the SD card:

1.May I have a photo of Tapo APP--Playback Section files in SD card?

2.Please Test the SD card with third-party software like the FAQ below:  . Install the H2testw on your Windows computer (you can also run a similar tool called “F3” on Mac OS, and an app called SD Insight on Android device) and run the test, it will show you the real capacity of your SD card, please share a photo with us: https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/2592/

@Mariner

No worries,  glad to hear that the video clips are found in tp00000,

If the video clips have no sound, it is possible that  player does not support the G.711 codec, you could try VLC player as mentioned in the above FAQ.
