My KC200 does not detect motion in the dark.

 

It works perfectly in the day. 

 

This started around 1 month ago l, after previously working as intended. 

 

Literally, as night falls, only the live view works. No motion detected, no recordings made, no notifications sent. 

 

I have tried:

 

- increasing sensitivity to max. 

- decreasing motion time to minimum. 

- turning camera on and off at power. 

- resetting the camera and reinstalling 

 

Always the same symptom at night. 

 

How to fix?

Here are some troubleshooting tips which you could give it a try:
1. Ensure privacy and sensitivity settings are correct:

2. Ensure  a proper Activity Zone has been set up and the movements happened in that area 

3. Make sure Kasa APP and kasa devices firwmare are both up to date. 


If still the same issue, -may I have a photo of Live view when a motion happens with the  exact time point.  
- Model of your router and network topology: 
- Model of your phone and its Andriod and IOS version
- Kasa appp version ( confirm its the latest version)
-Can you share the MAC address of your Kasa camera and your tp-link ID (email address) for us via private message, thank you.
