Automatic reconnect on WLAN disconnectivity?

following problem: my Tapo C210 is connected to our network at home via WLAN. Works fine so far. But unfortunately it always shows a red light in the morning and is not accessible via the app or my NAS software. I need to reboot (power off/on). I suspect that the automatic switching off of the WLAN of my Fritzbox router ensures that the camera has no WLAN - this is not surprising. But: I would have thought that it would automatically reconnect when the WLAN is online again! Isn't that the case? Do I have to pull the power plug every time there is a WLAN failure/problem/shutdown? I can't restart it via the app if there is no wifi connection... Am I missing something? What am I doing wrong?
