Hi there,
Tapo App does not accept entering values smaller than 1,-€ per kWh.
Who can help?

For me it works with decimals but the cost calculation is wrong!!
with 38 Cents per kWh set, the bill is showing below 0.01 EUR.. the correct value should be around 4.4 Euros!!

Hi there,
thank you for yor answer.
For me it still does not work. As I live in Germany, I have the German version of the app. When I try to fill in the amount in Euros, the keyboard does not give me the option of a dot (.), only a comma (,) is available. May be that is the reason?
Also the save option always stays greyed out.

iCloud-Link available until 21. Nov.
Do you know how to switch to the English version of the app?
cheers

Hi Thomas,
I'm also in Germany but I use the English version of the App.
I don't think you can change the language of the app, but for testing, you could change your phone's language to English and start the app again. I'm guessing it should launch in English.
You could also change your keyboard. At least for me on Android I'm not using the default keyboard. I have the google keyboard instead "Gboard".
You are clearly using an iphone, so Im not sure if you could change your keyboard for testing.
Good luck!

Just got an idea, if the Language suggestion didn't help... What if you write a comma "," somewhere else like in notes for example..
Copy that comma and paste it in the tapo app where you have to specify the energy cost!

@Leo-B I've noticed the "wrong" math too.
Put 1€/kWh and you'll see the app is using the today value to calculate the total, in your case is doing 0.016 times 0.38€ = 0.00608 (and that's less than 0.01€).
I bet this is somehow connected to the date error introduced with the new firmware: if you check the "day" consumption you'll notice that for "today" you consumed energy in the future; "today" is actually yesterday and 21/10 is actually 20/10 and so on.

Logically I would expect the cost to be stored against each reading so that 'history' is not re-written when a rate change is introduced.
If this is the case, then the figure could only calculate from the date of the new firmware as this field was not available previously.
I suspect the 30 day Bill value may take 30 days to calculate properly. Perhaps somone could confirm if this is the case?

I think you could be right. I just tried using the devices connected to that P110, the new values seem to be calculated correctly in today's view.

@QuestionReality your theory makes a lot of sense, I think you're correct.

thanks Leo-B for this answer and suggestion:

but unfortunately the option to paste does not exist in my version of the app. There is only an option to "scan text", wich I used and tryed to scan the text "0.48" This didn´t work either.
I´m using the latest version 2.10.6 of the iOS app. It´s just 7h old.
