Custom Colour Values in Tapo App ( HEX or RGB )
Good day,
In the TP-Link Tapo L900-5 application for Android there is no way to use your own color code (HEX or RGB) under "Effects->Color Painting". There is a color wheel but it is very difficult to find the exact color I need. Would it be possible to allow the user to enter custom hex code or RGB values?
In the top right corner, above the color wheel, the hex code of the color selected is given but you can not change it.

This really is needed.
As more bulbs are added, it is virtually impossible to match the colour by picking it on the colour wheel.
The fact that the hex code is already displayed, means that it should be quite simple to allow the user to type in the hex code, and display the colour.

The lack of acknowledgement or progress on this in almost a year is ridiculous. I will never by another TP-Link product again. They've killed their reputation with this new line of smart products.

@Calcio22 if you haven't already, make sure you press the VOTE button in the top left corner of this thread.
TP-link insist this is the way we get anything improved (ridiculous as it is)

My guess would be that if they do add this feature it will show that it can't achieve any color like claimed and its sprectrum is limited, hence why it hasn't been enabled from the start.

An interesting theory.
The thing is that this would relate to the limitations of the particular hardware (bulb/light strip) rather than the app.
This is really a simple request that relates to the limitations of the app.
Currently we can pick a point on the colour wheel, and the hex code is displayed. All that we want is the reverse. ie type in the hex code and display the colour on the colour wheel.
At least the colour of the bulbs could be easily matched, even if your theory is correct.
