Model: Tapo C420S2
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.5

Please add features to turn off both the IR and spot light functions to a) save battery when ambient light is adequate and b) allow cameras to look out windows from inside without the glare.

  @onno2

Thank you for sharing the feature request.

The IR Led illuminates in Dark Mode to provide infrared led, if there is enough light source in the evening, you can set it on OFF/ Day mode to turn the IR Led off.

The Spotlight can be turned off as well as by clicking on the 'Bulb' icon on Live view page,

Note: the Spotlight cannot be turned off in Full Color Mode.You can set it on Smart Mode.

  @Solla-topee

Thank you. I'll try these settings.

Your iOS app team should ask Apple dev relations for a User Interface review.  They'll provide some great feedback.

  @onno2  yes thank you, I'd keep an eye and see if there are any plans for UI/UX improvement. Feel free to start a New thread if you find any particular part is not that friendly.

  @Solla-topee

Thank you. The explanations you've given me are helpful. I suggest these should be noted in the apps' descriptions at least, and in an app update likely the label name be updated to include these. (See review/s on Amazon, suggesting this should be more clear.)
