Hello everyone,
Latest app allows the Live View, Talk, Voice Call, Pan& Tilt, and Playback&Memory features enabled for shared accounts. As most of these function was not enabled in previous app versions, I know users that are annoyed by this change without any notification. In some cases the administrators don't absolutely want allow the shared accounts to pan/tilt the camera. This is a major issue for tlt/pan cameras already mounted that should stay in a fixed position for security/privacy reasons. For this reason I suggest additional settings in app that allows to select what function is granted/denied to shared accounts.

Please allow setting control for sharing. It's a make or break security issue, not a nice to have!

After spending £700 odd pounds on a extensive tapo system I was really disappointed to see that it's not possible to give basic permissions to other users, like turn on the light, deactivate the system etc. this is all stuff that could be done on my 4 year old previous eziviz cameras and now I am going to have to find a solution. Even if it means returning some of the cameras and swapping them out to another brand that allows basic permissions sharing

The default settings for permissions are very limiting. I'd like to be able to control them in more granular way. E.g. allow to change day/night mode.

Please ensure people whom accepted shared device for tapo are also allowed to open or close the camera. Since my wife has an account and also forgets to stop the camera, i cant shut the camrea down for her….

Hi
Since my post back in Feb 21st, has anyone noticed any changes in TAPO app in regards to permission managment yet?
Right now I'm using TP-Link smart plug that will turn ON or OFF from Smartthings geofencing to strarts my TAPO CAM (Police mode) while the family members are out.....
