If you follow the steps in my previous post you shouldn't have any issues. Both my fan and heater are connected to P110 plugs and operate exactly as I have set them. Can you post a screenshot of your Smart Routines and I'll take a look?

Also, what is your "effective time" set at? Always? If not, it should be. I really need to see the routines to determine why they aren't working. (Apologies for the double post)

Hey, Ah update here There was an issue with software. After double-checking network instabilities, changing my router to a tp-link, resetting all devices, it simply didn't work. Had to rely on timers to more or less control humidity. Then, there was an update available for the app, I tried simple automations with humidity variation and it's now working again :) clearly a software issue.

thanks, i think i had the settings wrong anyways, looking at the automation one its layout of settings was different from mine.

in the end, i did what you did  ( automation - then just reversed it - as its for a humidifier, i want it to be dehumidfier  )

thanks :)

Hey @Fudgeybutter

I suspect your issue is with the logic.

1st - the "when" section must have only the triggering condition. Keep it with "humidity above 60%" and nothing else.

2nd - keep it simple in "if" section. You can remove everything that is there, but in case you really want to use it, you can add "dehumidifier is off" to condition the automation only when the device isn"t already on.

3rd - the "then" section is the automation outcome. What do you want from it? The "dehumidifier - on" and also the "notification".

I'm attaching an image from my automation to trigger the dehumidifier on.

Create a similar rule to turn off the device.

Hope this helps 🙏

Below is 2 rooms

1 with dehumidifier

1 without

no heating in any room.  natural heat.  crazy how much 20% more humidity changes the temp of a room.

I can tell you EXACTLY why your's isn't working! Why have you got Humidifier ON and Humidifier OFF as TRIGGERS? They should be ACTIONS.
