Model: Tapo C320WS
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

When viewing the camera either locally on the same WiFi or remotely the app displays the connection as either of the following:

Local

P2P

Relay

What is the difference between the two and if one is displayed instead of the other does that mean the connection isn't as good as it could be etc?

  @Gunnersboy

Hello,
The Local/P2P/Relay are three different patterns for clients to obtain video streams from the camera side. Local means the client streams the camera in the local network, Relay means the client streams the camera via the cloud server, and P2P means the client streams the camera via P2P penetration.
The pattern of the client stream camera is determined by the network environment and specific usage conditions. Generally, the client will choose the best way to watch the camera automatically.
Best Regards
