Need to change Wifi SSID without resetting the Cameras

Everytime when i want to change the WiFi SSID, I need to reset the camera. This is both in TAPO and VIGI Wifi Camera. Can you update the App such way that we can change the SSID without reset the camera

It’s really frustrating that Tapo cameras don’t allow Wi-Fi changes without a full reset and reconfiguration. This is such a basic feature that most smart devices have. two years have passed and still no update wtf. Please consider adding a simple “Change Wi-Fi” option...

Hi All,
Thank you very much for your valued feedback. However, to ensure that any future features we add meet your needs, we hope you can select a usage scenario in the typical scenarios described in this post, or describe your new usage scenario in detail for evaluation. Hot topics with detailed background information will be prioritized for evaluation.
Best Regards

@Solla-topee Just WTF are you talking about "usage scenario"!? The scenario is simple - my WiFi has changed (SSID, password, or whatever), I want to re-join my 12 Tapo Cameras to the changed WiFi *without* having to reset all 12 cameras & reconfigure them all from scratch, with device names, static IP addresses, recording schedules, alarm settings etc etc
What part of "our needs" don't you understand!? The requirement has been outlined in stark terms & as you can see from the number of posts on this issue, it is *the* single most requested feature. So *this* is "our need" right NOW - so get it implemented and stop ignoring paying customers needs!

Such a simple method, have an automatic Bluetooth mode that allows for encrypted communication between the camera and the app via a pairing code that would have previously existed if the camera was previously setup.
Plus this should be normal protocol, because if the network goes down you cannot access any of these devices, so there should be a backup access point: Bluetooth.
Such a simple solution when most wireless chips have both connections protocols built in. I'm not sure if TP-Link cheaped out and the chip doesn't have Bluetooth protocols, or they're just inactive.

Choose the C425 because it is easy detachable and planned to take it with me to different locations, with different SSID's. So for me it is Case 2.1
Now looking to replace for other brand and returning this one.
This topic is several years old and clearly TP-link is ignoring its customers.

Yes, this is urgently needed as given the constant need for reconfiguring routers, VPNs etc. it's far too much trouble to reconfigure the camera all the time - especially later 4K cameras with huge amounts of settings to configure. There isn't even a backup facility to save the camera configuration (without network SSID or passwords of course) which would be at least one solution until the ability to change WiFi networks without resetting the camera is implemented. This should not be a problem in 2025 to be honest.
1) I have a C660 4K Camera that can run off 2.4 and 5GHz WiFi - Tapo's own sales & marketing makes a point of saying it can connect to each one for either range (2.4 GHz) or signal strength (5 GHz). So what is the point if you can't do this on the fly without resetting the camera and losing ALL the carefully configured settings each time you change the network if there are signal problems?
2) Another Scenario: Security concerns with your network, so you need to change passwords - again camera needs a reset.
3) Another Scenario: You need to add an IoT network - that means resetting the camera again.
4) Adding VLANS, Adding new Wi-Fi networks
5) Doing the right thing and being security conscious by changing passwords frequently
All these are just some scenarios.
You also asked for other makes that make it easy to switch Wi-Fi networks:
Ring
Arlo
Reolink
Eufy
