Model: Tapo C500

Hardware Version: V1

Firmware Version: 1.0.6

I have two Tapo C500 cameras, both version 1 hardware. I had an update today, updating one of my cameras to v1.0.6 but it did not update the other camera. That camera still says there is no update available.

The new feature of 1.0.6 now gives you patrol mode, which is great.

Why is it that only one camera has been updated, but one hasn't, when they are both the same hardware version??

@xmtr34 Same here. I have three C500 but only two got the new firmware. Don't know why?

Maybe they gradually release the firmware in case there are stills bugs.

Hi,
Since we release the new firmware gradually for the Tapo C500, you may see some of the Tapo C500 do not have the new firmware. Please ensure your cameras' are online and wait for the new firmware for the rest of Tapo C500 patiently.

No. I'm still waiting also for some of mine to update....

Would be nice to know what's going on and why only some of the cameras of the same model and version have been updated.

Hi,
The new firmware version(1.0.6) for the Tapo C500 has been rolled out, please check if you can see the new firmware for all your C500.
You can reboot the camera and ensure it's online if you can't see the new firmware for your C500.
