Model: Tapo C225
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.24

I'm stumped.

I have a C225 that I have on the same WLAN as my laptop and my mobile phone.

I have the app on my mobile phone and can comunicate without problems with the camera, even with mobile data disabled and WLAN on.

For my life I cannot figure out why my laptop (with iSpy) cannot reach that camera.

I have verified that laptop and camera are on the sam WLAN and on the same subnet. I cannot ping the cameras address (is ICMP enabled there?) and a tracert yields 'destination host not reachable' on the first hop. Ports on the router should be open otherwise the phone wouldn't work.

I had some IP specialist look at it and after some investigation they came up with : Ask in the forum.

Any other ideas?

Thanks,

/Gerold

  @Gerold

Hi Gerold,
Thank you for the case report, and please help confirm the following information regarding your problem.
1. Please describe your network diagram, such as the Internet--wireless router))) Tapo Cam, etc.
What's the model number of your wireless router? Usually, the Tapo cam can be ping, and in your case, please check if your router has the client isolation feature and if it's enabled. If so, disable it for a try.

2. Has your camera subscribed to the Tapo Care service? Have you inserted an SD card into the camera?

3. How many devices watching the camera at the same time?

4. Are you connecting to the camera on your iSpy via the ONVIF protocol?

Best Regards
