Tapo H200 can't be detected in Tapo app
Tapo H200 can't be detected in Tapo app
I connected the hub directly to the router as indicated in the manual. The same router that I'm connected with my mobile device. But when I tried to add the device on my Tapo app, the app can't detect the H200 in the network. Has anyone else encountered this? What's the solution

Update to the previous comment. Problem solved. I am connected to a Netgear Orbi RBK20 router wifi mesh. I connected the hub to the satellite instead of main router and was able to see the hub in the Tapo app.
@Brickwall
This absolutely worked for me. Connecting via Deco M5 mesh. Switched to the satellite after reading Brickwall's comment and it worked fine. Thanks Brickwall!

Is there any error message? Kindly share a screenshot here. To get a clear overview on the setup process, you may refer to this setup video: How to Set Up Your Tapo Smart Hub (Tapo H200) | TP-Link
Ensure the H200 is blinking orange and green before the setup, if not, factory reset it first.
How to reset H200: Use a pin to press and hold the reset button until the LED turns flashing red.
H200's led will turn solid amber when connected to router with an ethernet cable, If the LED does not change, try to change a different ethernet cable or a different port on the router.
If you're using an IOS device, check whether the Local Network permission for the Tapo App is enabled.

@Wayne-TP Hello Wayne,
I have a TP-Link Tapo 2K QHD Wireless Outdoor Security Camera system, bought on 12 September 2023, and installed the Tapo app today (24 Sept) on android. So it is all current stuff.
But I have the same problem. The amber light on the hub is solid - not blinking, just solid. So the router sees the hub, but the hub will NOT connect to the app. There aren't any error messages that I can see - the app just says that it can't connect - try again. So I did - several times. I've tried re-setting the hub - still no connection. Just in case the wireless connection to a camera was needed, I tried to pair a camera to the hub. But the hub would have none of it. So I can't connect the hub to the network, and even if I could, I can't connect a camera. I have watched and followed several of your videos, but always the result is "Cannot connect" I've tried it with and without a micro SD card installed, and using a second android device just in case . . But always "can't connect".
What next, please?
Many thanks, Richard Howard.

I am having the same problem. I have tried the troubleshooting guide and used various devices (Android versions and Ios) connected to the same network and the Tapo app cannot find the h200. I have sent a message with my router/setup details.
