Connection of a TAPO smart plug to a (AC1200 4G+ router) Wi-Fi network and access outside network
I have connected a TAPO smart plug P100 to an TP-Link AC1200 4G+ router Wi-Fi network and I am able to connect to the P100 via the TAPO app on my iPhone12 IF my iPhone is one the same network as the P100. When changing iPhone to another network (or 4/5G) then I cannot connect anymore to the P100. Any solution(s) available for this?

Do you have any settings on the router that might block the internet access of this Tapo smart plug? Such as access control, or parental control.
Try to change router DNS server address to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.
What's the model, hardware and firmware version of the router? Are you using it as a 4G router? Who is the ISP?

@Wayne-TP All settings are correct (not blocking internet access of TAP plug). Type router is MR600 with latest firmware. I already changed the DNS but without succes. I am using a 4G SIm card from KPN (ISP in Netherlands). I might have an idea what is going wrong here: the current sim card does not have a fixed but dynamic IP address. I asked KPN for a fixed address and will let you know if this solves the problem Grts, Joost
