I would like to buy smart plugs to monitor energy consumption. I'm considering P115 and have some questions:

* Can I monitor the energy consumption without having the paid cloud subscription ?

* Is is possible to export data from the Tapo app to CSV (or XLS) ?
* Is the export possible without having the paid cloud subscription ?
* Is it possible to get the data straight from teh smart plug from my desktop not using the Tapo app on my phone ? (eg by calling an URL that the smart plug has)

  @John_M_NL

Tapo Care cloud subscription applies to cameras only. No paid service is needed for Tapo smart plug.

For Tapo smart plug models that support energy monitoring, users can export all energy data (.xls) locally by exporting it within the app.

Tapo plug Energy Monitor feature is currently available in Tapo and SmartThings App.

  @Wayne-TP
Thanks for the answer !!

Would be nice if there would be a future feature to access the URL of the plug and then get the data.
For now this is fine and I'm going to get 6 of the P115's

What's the best available resolution of the data you can export with your latest Tapo plugs? Enegy use per second, minute...?

Hi Wayne-TP,

I'm using two P110 Plugs since the end of 2023 - collecting energy data since then. The app offers data/graphs for the whole period until "today".
Now i'm using the "export all data" functionality and open the .xlsx files, but those files only contain data comming from 2024. 2023 is entirely missing.
I also opened graphs of 2023 in the App and used the export functionality again, but the resulting files again only contain data of 2024 (Jan-Dec).
Is the export functionality somehow limited? It's called "export all data"....

Thanks for looking into it,

Andy

I just found an answer of yours in another thread: https://community.tp-link.com/en/smart-home/forum/topic/653482?replyId=1328030

There, you are telling, that the "export all data" feature is only a "export last 12 months" feature? Is this real/valid? If so, Tapo should mention, that users have to export their data every 12 months...

The energy data is saved up to twelve months, the exported data is consistent with the data displayed in the Tapo app.

Well, my App shows Data from january 2023 untill today, that's the reason why I expect to download this data
