Can't re-add NC450 on the app, admin password doesn't work after reset
Hello.
I was trying to set up my NC450 cause I will be leaving for a trip, but the app just wouldn't cooperate, so I reset the camera and deleted/reinstalled the app.
Now, whenever I try to add the camera, I get stuck at the admin password, admin - admin just doesn't work. I've reset the camera like 20 times (pressing the button until the green light is off, then it becomes steady red and the camera does it's thing, moves all around, and gets back online to a steady green), I tried all possible passwords I could imagine, but I just can't get past this step, so no camera. Note that the camera is connected via Ethernet cable.
I tried to access the camera's IP on my computer, but I'm getting the "this site doesn't provide secure connection" error. I managed to access my routers IP, and I see the camera listed on there as a device, but I'm not getting any useful configuration settings to change on this.
Please help! I'm losing my mind, and I really really need the camera working, to keep an eye on my cats while away =(

Hi,
The NC450 does not have new firmware released recently, it's unlikely a new bug appear on the firmware suddenly. You can refer to the above instructions for a try, and let me know if there are any updates.

SAME! I have reached out to their online support but to no avail. I suspect is the software of the NC450.
Can the technician do something about this?!
Btw the solutions that were given, I have tried but to no success. What about you?

Alooo suporte,vários relatos e vocês continuam insistindo na mesma coisa,após resetar o equipamento ela não está mais aceitando a senha master,vocês fornecem a intenção de que isso é um erro no software?
Será que será possível que a engenharia desenvolva uma atualização ou um bootloader prático para fazer um reset que de fato coloque o equipamento em padrão de programação???
Para vocês é muito simples.
Sinceramente sempre trabalhei com a marca,mais sou obrigado a partir do concorrente,que até às câmeras chinesas vagabundas dão o devido suporte ao cliente.

Na verdade vocês estão pouco se lixando pra quem já comprou o produto e está com problemas, pra que que vocês querem vídeo de procedimento que foi feito, vocês não estão vendo que todos estão fazendo o mesmo procedimento que vocês estão orientando.

I had the same problem, but now it's solved. The two things I did which made a difference (not sure if both were necessary) were to 1) uninstall the app from my phone, clear the cache and turn the phone off and then on again, and reinstall the app and 2) pull out the camera's power cord not only from the camera but from the wall outlet, and put it back in, and let the camera reset itself, and then follow the steps in the app, and suddenly step 5 appeared ("set password" instead of "enter password"). I have the same issue, tried everything on this forum, even installing a virtual machine to run windows 7 for the protocol issue, still nothing!!! The responsible thing to do from a supposedly large company would be to say"Hey guys, we don't know why, but it just doesn't work! Go change it at your retailer free of charge!But noooooo "maybe you didn't reset it correctly"! Better off buying a xiaomi camera, if it bricks like yours did, at least i wouldn't have paid 90€ each for it! Unfortunately,I have 2, both with the same issue! Do sth,fix your app,I don't know! Either way, no more tp link for me!!!

Hi, I might have found a solution that could work for you
I too had the same problem, so I eventually got an old phone that was running Android 5.0.1
I installed tpcamera from the play store and was able to access the NC450 without issue - setup, password entry, camera functions - all fine.
I associated the camera to my cloud account and the camera became visible in my TPCamera App on my current phone running Android 14 ( by using the same cloud account details in the app)
However, even though the camera was present, I could not access the live picture whereas on my old phone everything works fine.
My firmware in the camera is patched to NC450(UN)_V2_v1.5.6_200924
So it appears that the Android OS has moved on and is now no longer compatible with the tpcamera app and/or the camera itself, but older versions of android seem to work OK.
Given the age of the product, I doubt there is much chance of future upgrades coming from TP-Link, but if you have an older phone you may be able to use it for this purpose
