How can I connect the H100 via Matter to Smartthings? This should be possible according to many reports. But when I scan the QR code Smartthings says that I should prepare the device like activating the discovery mode or pairing mode.

 

Of course everything is on the same WiFi network, firmware and software is up-to-date, rebooted many times.

 

Any ideas?

SOLVED

 

This is how I was able to connect the H100 via Matter to the Aeotec Smartthings Hub:

 

In the Tapo app, get the numerical Matter code for the H100.

 

Open Smartthings app, click add device, select partner devices, select Matter.

 

UNPLUG the H100, wait 10s, plug it in again, wait 10s.

 

Press the SYNC button on the hub (not sure if really necessary).

 

Now enter the Matter code in the Smartthings app and follow the instructions.

 

If it doesn't work, restart the smartphone(!) and start again.
