Hello,
I know this is a tech support forum but this thread gave me the most valuable information (thanks to Wayne and other users);
I contacted tech support giving all the technical information (firmware version, camera version, hub version,.. ) and the first answer was "the c425 camera does not support the h200 hub, you can subscribe to tapo care".
Not having a satisfactory answer since the tp link website indicates that the c425 is compatible with the h200 hub, I searched the internet and found several leads.
I shared the link of this thread with tech support and asked if it was possible to have more information or a precision on a delay. The answer was "wait two weeks as indicated by Wayne".
So, this forum is the best help I could find and I share the information I have if it can be useful to someone else (I could see other people with the same problems on other forums).
Concerning the GUEST network, no I do not use GUEST at home, all my IoT devices are on the same main network.
My neighbor has the same cameras (c425 EU v1.20) for several months, his cameras have the update 1.2.22 and it is possible in his app to use the hub; in the meantime the firmware has been temporarily removed (wayne's message about that)
So I know that it is quite possible that my cameras are eligible.
Here is a summary of the information I have:
- my camera doesn't have the option to connect to the hub but the webpage indicate that the c425 is compatible with the hub ( compatibility webpage for the hub h200 ), it's the french webpage, so i guess it has to be up to date for C425 sold in my country; nothing indicate issues for different versions on this page. I specifically checked this feature and confirm by looking at my neighbor's app before buying (his cameras was updated before the removal of the firmware).
- the firmware v1.2.22 for the c425 v1.20 is removed by tp-link; people buying a c425 after the removal are stuck to the firmware 1.2.21 without the option to use the hub.
- my camera is a C425: Hardware v1.2 Firmware v1.2.21
- hub H200: Hardware v1 Firmware v1.3.6 build 20240829 rel.71119
- monday 25 november; we had to wait one or two weeks to have a firmware update. That's why I pop here to maybe have more info's
- rebooting or using the update button does not work (it indicates the firmware is up to date).
- the devices are on the same network (a network managed by tp-link deco xe75).
- There is a beta firmware accessible by sending a message to Wayne but.. it's a beta firmware.
Hoping this can help other people understand their issue.

@Ludovic_42 I hope you are able to resolve your issue. I'm thinking it's a setting of the router but I'm not an expert. I don't know if the following will help but I see other folks with Xe75 connectivity issues. If you are the administrator for your router, try assigning both the C425 and the H200 to a specific Node (rather than each wandering to find "the best node") and see if that allows the two clients to better 'see' each other.

@Walt_2024
Hello,
Thank you Walt_2024 for your consideration in my issue.
Both devices are on the same network node, I m pretty sure that the issue is the firmware 1.2.21; there isn't option in the app to save on the hub with the firmware 1.2.21
My neigbour with the same camera c425 v1.20 but the firmware 1.2.22 has the option in the tapo application.
Without this firmware, the camera can't see the hub; the hub can't see the camera.
Here are two screenshots from my neighbour app; "emplacement de stockage" means "storage location" and we can see the option for the hub.
Here are two screenshots from my app, i don't have the "emplacement de stockage" ( "storage location" ) tab, the most similar tab is "stockage et enregistement"( "storage and recordings") and there is no option for a hub (You can see that I don't have a microSD.. just because i bought only one big for the hub)
My app is obviously up to date.
Apparently, different firmwares mean different options in the app.

@Ludovic_42 Interestingly, my storage options for the C425 only shows "Local Storage", like yours does. Only when selecting "Local Storage" do I see the choice for the Hub (see photos).
You should also be able to connect to the camera via the Hub options.

@Walt_2024
Hello,
Thank you Walt_2024 for sharing your app; the main difference is that you have the firmware 1.2.22
You can see in previous pages of this thread that this version is required for the option to connect to a hub.
I'm still stuck to the version 1.2.21
Maybe @Wayne-TP could pop here to give us a new estimate time of arrival for the new firmware?
It will be super helpful.
Have a nice day

I've looked through the thread but can see an answer, @Wayne-TP When can we expect firmware 1.2.22 for Tapo C425 V1.20?
Regards
Michael.
