Saturday
Model: Tapo D230S1
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.17

Model is a D230, not a D230S1 which is the only doorbell listed in the model drop-down.

Settings are:

Event detected wake up

Motion, person, package, car detection sensitivity is set to 10

Recording schedule is set to event detected

Working mode is high performance

Auto power saving mode is off

No detection zones are set

Video quality is set to 2k 5MP

The hub has a 256GB branded memory card in it and is not close to full

All my recordings are 13-17 seconds long. A lot the recordings stop whilst there is someone or a car actively moving in the frame which should not happen.

Is there a setting I've obviously missed? In the beginning I'm sure I was getting far longer and accurate videos than this.

At the moment I cannot figure out what is wrong, there's either some misconfiguration which I'm struggling to find or I'm thinking the hardware is faulty.

Any help much appreciated, thank you 🙏

Check the Clip Settings (Tapo app > Doorbell Device Settings >Storage & Recording >Clip Settings) of your D230 doorbell. Try to reduce retrigger time .
