I bougtht a Tapo T315 to control a p115. The P115 connected nicely but the T315 wanted a hub so I bought a H200. I try to pair it with the T315 but it wants me to update the firmware. It does this for some minutes but then it returns to asking for a firmware update. Hence I cannot get the two paired.
The new firmware should be 1.3.6 Build 20240829 rel.71119. I don't know how to check the current firmware.

Is there an SD card inserted on the H200? Try to remove the SD card, reboot the hub then try to perform the update again.
What's the version of your Tapo app?

Hi,
No SD card is inserted. I have tried rebooting and re-connecting & updating.
Not sure about the app version but I installed it last week by qr code.

The hub was rebooted with the reset button? Please reboot the device by unplugging its power adapter and then plug it back.

I unplugged it several times. No change. It requests an update but after a couple of minutes after the "updating" has stopped it keeps requesting an update.

Tbh I'm not too impressed with the responsiveness of this support...
But what comes to my problem: after a week of agony it just suddenly started to work. It's still claiming the same firmware version but now it's happy with it. The advice here could be to give it some time and try to pair again in a week or so.

Have you ever visited the product device's info page to check the firmware version? Sometimes, due to network issues, the information on the firmware upgrade page may not be updated, even though the device has successfully upgraded its firmware.
