Spotlight always on in Doorbell mode

I've recently installed my D235 and it is hard-wired.
When I use the Tapo app (Android, v3.8.115) to set the 'Night Mode Settings' to 'Doorbell mode' (under Device Settings, Video & Display), the spotlight turns on again after 5 mins even after explicitly turning it off on the main screen. The Live view shows a count-down timer to when the spotlight will be turned on again.
Is this expected behavior?
The description under the 'Doorbell mode' options says:
Turn on spotlights when someone rings
the doorbell to receive full-color images.
Switch to infrared mode when no motion is detected.
So I was expecting the spotlight to turn on only when someone rings the doorbell, and it will automatically turn off after a period of time.
