Junction box recommendations for C720
We would like to mount our C720 floodlight camera on a junction box so that the power supply can enter the junction box from the side (rather than from directly behind the C720 which would require it to be mounted lower down the wall where the power supply comes through the brick wall). We cannot recess the junction box so the two would need to be the same size. Does anyone know of a compatible junction box available in the UK? Thank you for your help.

Hi,
If you want to mount the Tapo C720 on a junction box, as you can see the instructions on the UG > Mount Your Camera > Option 1: Install on an existing junction box, you can choose the screws based on your junction box to fit the camera's Mounting Plate, there is no specific size of the junction box required to mount the camera.

This answer makes no sense. The base plate is larger than most standard available outdoor junction boxes. Without a properly sized junction box, the Tapo floodlight camera can NOT be installed on a surface mount device box...because the oversized camera base plate provides the weather proof seal and needs a large flat surface to press and seal against. This is a difficult installation and your instructions only work for the easiest possible scenario Competitive products are much easier to install
