My C410 keeps going offline for prolonged periods. It is up to date with the latest firmware (1.0.4 build 250314 Rel. 64817n, hardware 1.20).
Most recently, it went offline for about 10 days, then came back. It remained up for a couple of weeks, and has now gone down again for the past 3 days. It doesn't have the strongest WIFI signal (around 70), but I don't think that explains the issues (since it is sufficient for extended periods, and when the camera is online, it is very responsive). Also, I can via the router see that the connection with the camera is maintained even when supposedly "offline", and that data is sent and received from the camera.
The camera is installed at our holiday home, many miles from where we live normally, so there is no means of resetting it, turning it on and off, etc.
This malfunction really needs to get sorted out as I am seriously considering returning the camera on the basis that it simply does not work effectively!

Hi,
Thanks for your response!
My C410 Hw Ver 2.0, Fw Ver 1.1.6 is now working. It's online and able to record using H200. Solution: Power cycle all my network and cameras :)
For your reference:
Im on mesh topology, using ONR (Nokia XS-2426X-A-ONR) with Nokia beacon.

Hi,
If you can see the camera is connected to the router's Wi-Fi but shows offline in the Tapo app when your phone is on a different network from the camera, it may be that the camera is not connected to the internet or our cloud server. You can try changing the DNS server on your router, disabling special settings such as access control, MAC filtering, and firewall rules, and then check if these tips are helpful.
It will easily cause disconnection problems when the camera's signal strength is weak. It is recommended to try moving the camera and router closer together.

Hi,
Since your camera is untouchable, you can try rebooting the router that the camera is connected to and then check if it helps. If the camera still displays 'offline' on the Tapo app, you may need to take action on the camera to recover the connection, such as rebooting, resetting, and reconfiguring it.

I turned the camera on and off (3 second reset) and as usual, it reconnected OK to the network.
It remained connected for 14 days and has just gone down again.
Prior to going offline, the battery drainage rate accelerated with 2 notifications - 3% drainage in 21 hours and then 3% in 5 hours. At this time, the camera was in privacy mode, so the drainage was not caused by detection.
Should I just send this clearly malfunctioning camera back and have it replaced? Or is there actually a fix?

Hi,
The power consumption of the camera is not solely dependent on whether an event is detected; frequent awakenings of the camera can also lead to increased power usage. Events can trigger the camera to wake up via the PIR sensor, and this function is unaffected by the privacy mode.
You may check the camera's Wake-up times and other battery parameters on the Device Settings > Battery Status page when the battery is running fast to see the reason.
Regarding the offline issue, please confirm the following information for further analysis.
1. LED status on the camera when it's offline.
2. When the camera displays offline in the Tapo app, please double-check if it has the same state when you are on the same network as the camera.
3. The model number of your Wi-Fi router and your network topology, e.g., ISP Spectrum-Archer C7 router<Wireless> Tapo camera.
4. If there is an SD card inserted into the camera, please refer to the instructions below to collect the camera log.
