I would like for my partner to have access to turn the camera on or off and also turn privacy settings on or off.

Is this an option?

I have shared the device but they can only view and pan etc. Why are there no option for how much or how little access we can give others?

The invitee account has limited permission to a shared device. You can check more details here. How to share my Tapo Smart Devices with family

 

Adjusting feature permission is not supported so far. Here is a existing feature request post, you can vote for this thread and join the discussion there. grant/deny permissions for a shared device
