Hello,
i have registered a camera in another country in the app.
The camera is connected to a router there that has a simcard in it.
I can access it via my cell phone using the app.
Strangely, I cant`t see any usage for the simcard in the router.
When I was still there, it was different.
Can someone explain this to me?

Typically, the SIM card on the router is used to provide internet access to the router, and it may also work as a backup internet source that when the main internet source has no internet connection to the router, it can provide internet to the router, so the devices connected to the router keep to work.
