Model: Tapo C520WS
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Please go carefully with me as I am a silver surfer of many years!

I am also very hard of hearing and have bluetooth hearing aids that are controlled by an App on my Samsung mobile.

Have just had the C520WS up and running out of the box and all looks good.

However, I am getting a lot of noises coming into my hearing aids i.e., the sound of the unit panning and voices of people talking. Okay as far as that is concerened I guess I need to turn off the microphone, that is easy.

But what I cant seem to understand is how to stop system notification noises when it picks up movements etc ?

If it helps, my only use is to monitor the front path, I do not need microphone or recording of movements.

I need to find a way of stopping the unit passing "noises" to my phone. I cannot alter my phone to not receive the noises otherwise I cannot use my phone for phone calls.

Hi,
The notification sound on your phone for the Tapo app is controlled by the phone settings. If you wish to turn off the app notification sound, please go to your phone to configure the related settings.
For example, usually, on the Android phone's Settings > Apps > Manage apps page, search for the Tapo app, and go to its Notification page, then you can turn off the notification for the Tapo app.

If you want to turn off the notification sound for the camera on the Tapo app when opening it, you can turn off the camera's notification feature on its Device Settings > Notification page.

Best Regards

  @Solla-topee

Thank you for that info.

Things can be very logical when you know how!

Thanks again
