Hello,

 

I have a Tapo C500 v2 camera running firmware version 1.0.6. I’ve noticed an issue where, at times, when I try to pan the camera upwards, it doesn’t respond. The other directions work fine, but this happens intermittently. I did reset the device a couple of times, but it didn't work.

 

Could you please advise on how to resolve this?

Hi,
1. After you can't tilt the camera up on the Tapo app, how can you restore the camera to normal? For example, restart the camera or just wait for a while, and then you can tilt the camera up.

2. How often does this issue occur?

1) I generally do the following to get it to pan upwards (all 3 options work)

a) Try to move down, left, and right before trying to move upwards again

b) Reset the pan and tilt (Pan & Tilt Correction) 

c) Restart (only as a last option)

 

2) Every 2-3 hours, whenever I check the camera after 2-3 hours.

Hi,
When did you purchase the camera? You can try to contact your retailer or local team to check if your camera is under warranty, and check if you can get the Tapo C500 V1/C510W V1 as a replacement.
