If you setup this camera on a wired connection, necessary for the inital firmware update, from then on, the WIFI is disabled forever!

Seems like marketing should clearly state this is an ethernet or wifi camera, but not both.

Very annoyed that I have bricked my device on opening the box just by following instructions.

There weas no user manual.

Pretty poor unboxing experience :(

Unable to express negative opinions becaue it "goes against the rules of the Community"

Hi,
Typically, if your Tapo camera supports wired and Wi-Fi connections, it supports both connections even after updating firmware.
If the camera sets up both wired and Wi-Fi connections, the wired connection will work when the camera connects to the router by an ethernet cable, and the Wi-Fi connection will work when the camera disconnects from the router in the wired connection.

What's the model number and hardware version of your Tapo camera? How about the LED status on it?

How do you confirm the camera's Wi-Fi is disabled?

Best Regards
