Cannot zoom on Tapo cloud videos on the app.

Model: Tapo C110  
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.4.4

When watching a live feed you can double tap on the image to zoom in and also pinch to zoom.

 

You can also do this on recordings on an SD card when viewed through the app.

 

But you can't zoom on recordings saved to the cloud. You have to download them to your device (in my case an iphone 15 pro max) and then view them in your camera app where you can then zoom in.

 

Can this be changed please.

Having now used the Tapo cameras and app for a month I still can't believe this isn't an existing feature. Several times already I've tried to zoom in on cloud recordings and been frustrated when it doesnt do it. PLEASE ADD THIS. Its a very basic feature.

This is an absolutely basic feature, no? I can zoom on the live feed but not on a prerecorded video - this just seems ridiculous to be honest. If I see movement on a video recorded in the night, I can’t zoom in to see more clearly, I would much rather be able to zoom and check out things I wasn’t already looking at than be able to zoom on things I could just look at with my own eyes.

This seems like basic functionality to me. Most people are viewing footage on phones and being able to zoom in is an absolute must. I've used several different brands of cameras and Tapo is the only one that doesn't have this basic feature.

  @nw83 I also request this zoom-in feature please. Kindly forward this request to the TP link development team. The competitors' products allow you to zoom in. If I can't zoom in on a video to see details, then the product does not satisfy my security needs,

  @Solla-topee  I am here too looking for this feature.  I am new to the community having come from a different off brand camera company wanting better service but at least they had this feature.  Hoping it will be implemented because I wanted to buy more cameras and need that feature.
