Hello

 

I just received a H100 and it is getting the `local only` issue. That prevents me to create any automation


I have multiple tapo and kasa devices which have been working for years. I can acces them remotely and never had an issue. Not sure why h100 is special,
 

I have read many posts here so I have updated it to the latest version, restarted multiple times (router and h100), reset to factory h100, set my router DNS to 8.8.8.8 etc.  

The only way I have been able to make it work is using my phone as a hot spot.

 

I guess the problem is some setting o the router, but h100 should not be so picky to fail when the other devices (like KASA cameras) are accessible without an issue. I can collect tcpdumps from my router if that were necessary 

 

Note, just in case, my router is a linksys running open wrt. I used this to make sure all DNS possible configuration were set up 
 

 

It would be nice the h100 had ssh access and I could check stuff there

It seems the connection is blocked by the router end, the device itself has no problem as it works fine when connecting to the hotspot. 

 

For your issue, I recommend contacting the local TP-Link support directly and providing specific device information. They can assist in retrieving more detailed and relevant information to help identify the problem.

Btw, can you highlight for me the line where you see the router is blocking the request? I may dig deeper and maybe fix it myself, and post it here.

Will also contact local support too.

Btw i used dig on my openwrt and it seems i am able to get  a response. I also restarted serveral times the H100 and I goot a satisfactory response with tcpdump. So i think there is something more.

Btw, i tried to communicate with support and they just send me an AI generated email with basic stuff
