Some automations stop working after a certain period
As you don't have a forum for app specific issues, I've been asked to create a thread anywhere else.
I have 15 automations set up in total and they all work without issue apart from 3 of them. The element those 3 have in common is an Arrive/Leave trigger so I'm assuming that's causing the issue. It's difficult to say how long before they stop working because I don't go out to trigger them every day, but I just notice at some point that one of them hasn't worked. Disabling then re-enabling the automations gets them working until they stop again after a certain period (perhaps a week or two).

- To activate the geofencing automation, Tapo app must always run in the background and have access to the phone's current GPS info. Please check if the phone's system has restricted the Tapo app or disabled its background operation.
- You may try to increase the effective radius, see if that helps.
What's the model and Android/iOS version of your phone? Do all three automation stop running, or just some of them (it is sure that the other are still running normally)?

The Tapo app has unrestricted battery access and its 'Location' permission is 'Allow all the time'.
I've already tried to increase the effective range for all three automations, but that had no effect on them stopping after a certain period.
I have a Moto G82 5G which is running Android 13 (Tiramisu).
The first automation I set up was to turn my living room lights on just before sunset, and that's been working for a long time without stopping by itself or any other problems. I have another automation using a sensor to detect if my fridge door is left open, which has been running for about nine months and it has successfully triggered the few times it was needed. I've more recently added a sensor to do the same for my front door and all the others relate to two switches to control some lights. It's only the three automations with a geolocation trigger that I've noticed keep stop working by themselves. All three stop working and although I'm not certain if they all stop at the same time, I seem to remember that was usually the case but when looking at the history through the app. The other automations without a geolocation trigger are all working fine as far as I can tell.
BTW, I registered for the beta test of the geolocation feature and my app is still showing 'Beta' against the 'Arrive/Leave' trigger. I don't know if that makes any difference.

Please keep track of how often does the issue occurs and if there are any patterns. If you can, try triggering the automation every day and note the times when the problem happens. Then, please share this information with us for further investigation.

@Wayne-TP yeah the location automations are just buggy and don't work. I have set the tapo location update frequency to 180 seconds, and I can see in my location permissions it has access to accurate location always, it just doesn't check it. The app is allowed to run in the background, data saving is not on and tapo is still added to this list anyway
If I re-setup the location based triggers, it will work again for a day or two. Until again, the app will stop triggering the automations. It just doesn't check the location as much as it says it does

@kezzza I have gone through the process again of disabling geofencing and reenabling. I will report back every time my automations stop working (really just when I can be bothered, because I've just lived with manually running the shortcuts through widgets, because the automation NEVER runs after a few days)
