Model: Tapo C520WS
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.05

Unlike the usual recording behavior of Tapo cameras where the recording will end at least perhaps 10 seconds after movements are no longer detected at the scene, the C520WS often stops recording abruptly when the moving object is still within the view of the camera.

This is obviously a bug that needs fixing. Otherwise it's really unreliable as a security camera because it may miss recording crucial footage!

TP Link, please fix this issue!

Update: I have discovered the reason for this behavior. You may notice this behavior if you view a new recording that has just concluded.

The reason appears to be due to a delay before the video is completely written to the memory card and before it is ready for viewing. If you wait a little longer before viewing the recording, it will be complete. So it's not a bug after all.
