C100 camera will not update video without unplugging/plugingin camera and restarting starting app.  Notifications continue even though no video. Relocated camera to different locations same issuee

whar can I try?

Hi,
If your problem is that the Tapo C100 can detect events but no video recordings are stored, please confirm the following information.


  1. What are the firmware and hardware versions of the Tapo C100?


  2. Do you store the camera's video recordings on the inserted SD card or our cloud server?


  3. If the video recordings can't be stored on the inserted SD card, please check:
     1) The model number and capacity of the SD card.
     2) Go to the camera's Device Settings > Storage & Recording page, ensure the Local Recording is enabled, and send me the screenshots of both the Local Storage and Recording Schedule pages.
     3) You can try to insert another SD card into the camera if you have one, and format the SD card to see if it helps.

 

  4. If the video clips are stored on our cloud server, please check the LED status on the camera, and confirm if you can control the camera remotely.
