@Wayne-TP I have tested a beta firmware, first on one camera, (C310) it switched mode ok, then on a further two cameras last night, all three switched mode ok last night.
So the problem seems solved. Expect a release firmware soon. Or why not send your MAC address, & test the new beta.

@MrCupcake "Or why not send your MAC address, & test the new beta."
Because I own 15 such cameras which are mounted at a height of more than 3m.

@Wayne-TP I have also been testing the new beta software for a couple of days now and all seems to be working just fine to me. Switches from night to day with out any trouble now. Thank you for your help so far.

@nimajneb Hi, you can get the mac address from your settings tab in your app. Click the gear/nut icon and look for camera details. Take a screen shot and send them in an email via the link. They then send your cameras the beta test firm ware and you click update. Hope that helps. Saves getting a ladder out.

Why not just roll out the previously working v1.4.1 to overwrite the useless 1.4.2? Call it 1.4.3
Clearly 1.4.1 worked, and clearly 1.4.2 is useless.

Added new features, such as central Hub 200 storage.
I am grateful for continued support & new features.
A central hub handling the storage for all cameras, is a good idea as images cannot be stolen along with the camera.
I am though dissapointed that there has been a problem with day/night switching.
Though I understand the fault was quite obscure.
E.G manually covering sensor, to simulate day/night worked fine, but real day/night did not.

Thanks for the reply. Where do you get that info? I'd like to be able to look myself, now and in future.
Normally I will look and changenotes and decide if there is anything I want (nothing in your reply I wanted!) and would choose to ignore the update. Not just on the cameras but everything.

I have my cameras NOT set to auto update.
So I review the invited update before I go ahead.
I don't do an update all cameras from the app, but individually, with each camera.
Together with the notification I think there is a link to the changes that the new update includes.

Can you confirm this is the same issue I reported a year ago? It looks the exact same.
It had not been previously reported and I was sent logging firmware to test. It was confirmed there were issues but it was believed to be a faulty camera. I had a second one also exhibiting the same issue.
