Model: Tapo C500
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.5

Hi guys,

Due to my Tapo C500 cam pointing through a window the night Vision IR blaster Lichts reflects in the window glass so the Cam cannot see anything.

But i can't turn off the night mode (IR lights) within the app.

There is NO such option in the "video settings" menu.

As per the Internet there should be this setting.

And i thought i have seen this Option a couple of months ago in the app when the cam was on an earlier Firmware version as well.

Where did it go??

Thanks & BR

Mario

Hi,
You can refer to the following instructions to position your cameras. It's not recommended to place the camera behind a window, as infrared lights may cause reflection when the camera works in the Night mode, resulting in blurry and unclear images.
How to position my TP-Link camera for optimal performance?

There is no option on the Tapo C500 to turn off the IR LED when the camera works in the Night mode. If you switch the Video Mode on the camera's Live View page from Night mode to Day mode, the IR LED will turn off.

Best Regards
