Camera C210 is really cool. And sdcard works really nice. Though I use it has baby cam, and review the night feed is not user friendly :

1. Need to extract sdcard and copy all files to pc

2. load all files in VLC to be able to live scroll the video and very very fast play the 7 hours of video

That would be really nice to review the 7h video on the app smoothly but scrolling does not live update the image, you need to stop scrolling to see the current image. And or being able to copy the 7h hours of video recording to my pc in a row from the app would be nice too, instead of having to extract the sdcard.

Hi,
1. If an SD card is inserted into the camera Tapo C210 to store video recordings, on the Tapo app > Camera's Device Settings > Storage & Recording > Recording Schedule page, you can set the schedule to record detection video recordings or continuous video recordings. As per your requirements, you can set the time to record continuous recording at night.

2. On the Tapo app, navigate to Camera's Live View > Playback & Download > Playback > SD card page. Tap the Speed icon while watching a recording to adjust the speed from 1/16x to 16x.

Best Regards

  @Solla-topee this does not address my feature request. Recording is already set to non stop. The problem is to download the video of the sd-card to a workstation for example. For that you need to extract the sd-card to read it from your workstation, because the Tapo app only allow to download a video file of 10 min maximum.

Reviewing a 7h video feed on a desktop workstation with VLC is way more user friendly than doing the same in the Tapo mobile app, which does not have the suitable features to do that.

Hi @Seb777,

As a workaround, you can use Android emulator (e.g BlueStack) on your desktop PC and install the Tapo app.

This way at least you don't need to remove the SD card from your camera but can check the all night long video more convenient on a larger screen.

Then you can also speed up the playback as @Solla-topee recommended.

  @SecCamFan

I know bluestack. Still not solving anything : max download duration remains 10 min. And playback speed is not helpful to review several hours of shooting. What is requiered to do so is a live update of the current frame when scrolling the feed, as you get in VLC or CapCut for example

  @Seb777

Hi,
Do you need the Tapo app to be able to display images captured from the camera's live feed every X seconds or minutes while selecting fast playback for video recordings?
Best Regards
