This feature will be added soon through the new firmware release. Stay tuned!
Building on face recognition, Tapo H500 smart homebase now supports Facial Tracking, giving you a clear view of people’s movements across cameras. By summarizing the videos that detect the same face, you can see where they’ve been and what they’ve done, all in one tracking record.

Facial Tracking Use Guide
1. How to enable the facial tracking feature?
a. Link your Tapo camera/doorbell to the Tapo H500 homebase. For non-SubGHz cameras (no hub required during setup), change the video storage path to Tapo H500. How to connect Tapo Wi-Fi Cameras/doorbells with Tapo Hub
b. Enable AI Empowerment on Tapo H500 and add cameras to the list. *At least two cameras or doorbells are required.
c. Enable Facial Detection on the AI-empowered cameras.
d. Done! Once a new facial tracking record is generated, you can check it through Tapo H500’s product page > Facial Tracking section.
2. At least two cameras must detect the same face to generate a facial tracking record.
3. Continuous Tracking: In a single tracking record, a person (face) is allowed to be absent from the frame for up to 5 minutes. If the absence exceeds the set continuous tracking time and the same face is not detected by any camera, this tracking record will end. When the same face reappears later, a new tracking record will be created.
4. The videos compiled in the tracking record have not been edited; they consist of complete detection video clips where faces were detected. There may be certain periods in a clip where the selected face does not appear.
