Tapo C210 Camera Stops Live feed to ask if I want to keep viewing
I know its been raised before but despite trying all suggested options, the camera still prompts to continue viewing after 5 mins. This is a ridiculous and frustrating feature, I have 3 of these devices and now looks like I will need to pack them all up and send back to Amazon. Wish I was aware of this previously as looks like Tapo have no intention of changing this, but instead, blame wifi and device issues as per other similar posts raised.

Hi,
To effectively manage cloud service resources, ensure a stable monitoring experience, and prevent potential issues such as network data overages or battery drain on battery-powered cameras, there is a certain time limit for continuous live streaming when streaming the camera via our cloud server.
If you are streaming the camera remotely in the Tapo app, the limitation can't be avoided. However, if you stream the camera when your phone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the camera, you can try the troubleshooting steps in Case 1 of the following FAQ. If these steps do not work, it means that your phone is streaming the Tapo camera via our cloud server, even if it's on the same network as the camera.
You can try blocking the internet for the camera on the router, force close the Tapo app on your phone and reopen it, stream the camera locally, and then allow internet access to the camera. Check if you can stream the camera continuously.
Why can't I view the live stream of the Tapo camera continuously?

Why can't I view the live stream of the Tapo camera continuously?
Alternatively, you can try to stream the camera's live feed continuously via the RTSP/Onvif connection using third-party apps that support the RTSP/Onvif protocols.

The FAQ does not provide any solution, this is clearly a fixed feature of the app to throttle the live feed, absolute nonsense
And RTSP does not work on solar/battery cameras

To confirm -
I am not running cloud services
I am connected to same home network on phone as camera
Mobile data disabled
The app still kills the stream after 5 mins.
This is clearly a hard coded feature of the app despite any other efforts so will be sending back all 3 of my cameras

Hi,
When the camera successfully connects to our cloud server(such as the LED is solid green and can be controlled remotely), if both the mobile device and the camera are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, the live feed from the camera may be accessed in the Tapo app either through a local connection or via the cloud server. Currently, there is no option in the Tapo app to enforce a local connection for streaming the camera feed, and to improve our users' experience, we will keep forwarding this usage scenario to the relevant team for evaluation.

@Solla-topee Thanks for confirming there is no fix for this, as Tapo clearly doesnt see this as an issue for the consumer, hence this being hard coded into the app.
