Hi.

 

I have one of my cameras set up above my front door. The front of the house looks out over a busy road.

 

I have set the zones to exclude all of the road section and even turned off vehicle detection.

 

However, the camera is constantly activation and recording. I have tried moving the camera and even setting the road with a privacy area and I still cant stop it going off every few minutes.

 

Its now got to the point when the battery is only lasting a few days. Could it be activated by noise???

 

Any help appreciated.

You can refer to the instructions below to see when the camera consumes power, why battery power is consumed quickly, and how to improve this situation.
What to do if the battery drains quickly on my Tapo battery-powered camera/doorbell?
 

For the phenomenon where the camera frequently detects events, please confirm the following information for analysis.
  1. Please go to the camera's Device Settings > Detection page and take a screenshot of it, then send me the screenshot and the sensitivity value of the enabled detection types.


  2. Could you please send us a video showing the event occurring outside the detection zone, but being recorded? You can upload the video to your cloud server (such as Google Drive), generate a download link, and send it to me (@Solla-topee) via a private message.

Hi,
You can adjust part of the detection zone as shown in the picture below in red color. Then set the sensitivity value of the detection types (Motion, Person, and Pet) to below 6 and check if these changes will be helpful.
