Hi,

I ve successfully mounted 7 TC42 cameras in WiFi mode. When I'm in the same network with WiFi connection everything works perfectly but when I'm outside and I'm using cellular data, live video freezes and I can't see live video or playback. I've tried to reset cameras, change DNS, activate UpnP on my router. WiFi signal is -60dBm or better.

 

I need to see the cameras when I'm not at home, otherwise there are useless and I have to return them.

Did you test your internet connections' bandwidth?

Do you have enough upload bandwidth at your home and enough download bandwidth on cellular network?

Yes I have enought bandwidth with my WiFi connection. When I'm outside my network, I'm in 5G with enough bandwidth also.

Make sure no VPN is enabled on your phone while using the Tapo app. Does the same situation occur if you're on a WiFi (non-home WiFi)? 

 

Test with other phones or tablets, see if the same situation occurs.

No VPN is enabled on my phone. The same error occurs when connected to other WiFi or when I open the app from other phones.

I tried creating a VPN on my Fritz router with wireguard and everything seems to work normally. I can't have this VPN always on so it's only for testing.

Do all 7 cameras behave the same? Please try to reproduce the problem and submit an app log in the Tapo for further analysis. How to get the log of Tapo app
